The Customer Journey & the Power of Search -&- SEO is a lot of work, or is it?

March 14, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Speaker #1
Title: The Power of Search Throughout the Customer Journey
Presenter: Scott Fasser, Dir of Digital Innovation at HackerAgency.

Description:
Search, in all it’s forms, is the best digital signal we have with regards to the end user’s current mindset. People are telling us what they are interested in – right now! It’s the reason SEO/SEM performs so well and Google makes so much money :-). While most of our attention tends be focused on using search as an acquisition channel, people are searching everywhere throughout the entire customer journey – from Discovery to Research to Decision to Retention/Growth. This session will focus on a customer journey framework to think about search throughout the entire relationship cycle. What role does search play in the conversation with a prospect? How is it different from a customer or a lapsed member? Where are all of the key areas that search happens and what can that tell us about how we should respond? How specific can we get with our digital communications that leverages not only the keywords, but the context of the search?

About Scott Fasser:

Speaker #2
Title: How To Optimize Your Content And Outrank Your Competition
Presenter: Nick Jordan, Principal at Logic Inbound

Description:
When you ask an SEOer, or Google ‘what impacts rankings’, you’re going to get a huge list of 150 different things that they claim impact search rankings. Domain age! Keyword density! Page load speed! And on, and on, and on, and on. It sounds like a lot of work, and if you’re actively looking to address all 150 of these ranking factors, it is. In the last year we have driven over 2,000 keywords to the 1st page and we’ve found there are only 4 things that drove 95% of the impact, allowing us to ignore the 146 other ranking signals our industry claims matters. Site structure, keyword research, content and a few backlinks. That’s it. Ignoring the rest hasn’t slowed us down for a second. This session covers what those 4 things are, and how to roll them into your campaigns.

About Nick Jordan:
Nick Jordan is a principal at LogicInbound.com, responsible for sales and partnerships. Logic Inbound is a two year old SEO agency with 7 staff servicing pre-revenue startups to multiple organizations with $50mm in annual revenue.
